Without any prior consideration, Gary instantly conveyed wisdom gleaned from the game of golf.
“Golf teaches you to be truthful. You watch pro golfers and I’ve seen where they’re getting ready to hit, taking a stance, the ball is sitting on a bunch of grass, when all of a sudden the grass gives way underneath the ball and the ball moves just a smidgen. He’ll stop, back up, and say, “The ball moved”, and repeats, “the ball moved!”. He tells everybody because it’s a stroke. Theres nothing worse then somebody lying about a game. He’s playing for a million-five but that ball moved. Everybody says, we didn’t see it move, but he says, no, it moved. In the game you have to be very ethical. It’s about camaraderie.”
