“I certainly would like to have a peaceful country, people living in peace instead of all this killing. We have such a beautiful world and it’s being destroyed. We need leaders that look out for the people and their country. It’s important to get the young people involved. Schools should teach the youth to get involved because they are our future. The youth are disillusioned with our government. Our politicians are not working towards government but for themselves and for their own purposes rather then their own country. I hope we can elect people that will work towards peace with the different countries and try to better conditions. Individually we need to be involved and work within our cities and states towards peace. I am very sad the way things are now, people not working towards the good is so selfish and so greedy. That’s what makes me feel so very sad.
“We took so much for granted when things were peaceful. Of course in the past we had our wars but it was not as bad as this, war wasn’t just to destroy. There was a purpose, namely peace for what was done. Now there doesn’t seem as though there is any reason for what is being done. If you were fighting to better the country and help the people I can understand that, but what we are witnessing is senseless. Sad when you think of Syria and the thousands of people being killed for no reason. The destruction of a beautiful country and its history never to be replaced. To teach your children to hate and destroy is such a waste of mind and body, this must be the most awful thing to ever happen. I’ve lived a long time to see all of this and I wonder what kind of world my grand-children and great grand-children will inherit. The wonderful life I experienced I wish would continue.”
