Capturing Minds

Armen

Age 92

Talk about a passion! Armen has devoted his time to helping others succeed. He reaches high and low to promote educational opportunities while instilling young and old with the desire to turn around and give of themselves. He speaks of capturing minds. A mind is to be used, not wasted. Young need to be given opportunities that match their interests and part of the process is helping them uncover their innate desires, talents, and abilities. Minds need a garden, a place to grow, provisions of little soil, water and light. Armen creates pathways to hand out shovels, rakes and hoes cultivating young minds by presenting activities that require constructive thinking through the art of mentoring.

“People ask me how I want to be remembered.” He asks himself, “Did I make a difference?” That’s the question you need to ask yourself. Am I making a difference? “When you have an opportunity to do a job that nobody else wants to do, do it. If you have an opportunity to stay over past your normal work period because there's work to be done, do it. If you have an opportunity to do more than your boss expected of you, do it. Then you stand out.” That’s making a difference!

Armen displays a genuine desire for others to understand and participate in the art of serving. Not just serving to serve, but a heart of serving which we personally experienced during our interview.
