Making the Most of Everything

Elizabeth

Age 78

Gracious in all ways, ready to serve in whatever way possible, exemplifying what it means to be a nurse at all times, Elizabeth finds strength within herself to always be of service to others, even going out of her way to meet with us. She shares:

“Many people and events of life do effect us. How you react to these things are important, positively or negatively. A person has a plan, then people or events stop us for a while, and we ask; “Why?”, “I worked hard!”, “I studied in school”, “I helped people”, “Why me?”, but, we learn from our experiences. Sometimes if you’re lucky, a family member or a friend gives us support that is needed. When you look back on the plans you had that did not work out, you see G-d had a plan for you. It was maybe to protect you and help you grow. We sometimes see that we can improve on the 1st plan and make a better 2nd plan. It is interesting to examine our lives and see why. I feel lucky, I have a family that are all a part of the plan. Some people have no one.

“As a nurse for 50 years, I have seen a lot, good and bad. You learn from everything and you realize you can share these experiences with others so that they will learn also.”
